| Jackie and I became members of the Music City Bop Club in the Summer of 1992. We had finally found the music and dance we both loved. At this time in the MCBC history they had several DJs--but as time moved on this situation changed. The club became in need of another DJ and we volunteered to help out, not knowing that once bitten by the music bug you were forever buying, hunting for, and talking about music. Jackie affectionally became know as my "roadie". He is the one who carries the equipment, does the set-up and tear downs and keeps me in line. A lot of the music I play Jackie has patiently looked for and bought for us to play.
We have played for most of the major parties the Music City Bop Club has hosted in the last 20 years. And have always enjoy out times spent playing for the Summer Boogie Blast. Saturday nights are spent at Maxwell's Lounge , if not DJ'ing, then enjoying the company of many fantastic friends, guests and, as always, a lot of great dancers.
During our DJing gigs, we have been fortunate to play from Chicago Ill. to Atlanta Ga. and a lot of great dance clubs parties in between. Another highlight of our DJing career has been to play at the Boulevard Grill in N. Myrtle Beach, SC during several Fall and Spring SOS events to Hot Springs Ark.. In Memphis we were happy to DJ on Beals Street and at the first Rhythm and Blues DJ Association party. We are currently members of the Association of Shag and Beach Club DJs and the National Association of Rhythm & Blues DeeJays.
